Darrin Scott Sherrill is an Experienced Boat Owner

Boating can be a very expensive hobby. People go boating for sport, vacation, or even work. And the environment in which your boat is kept affects the longevity of the boat as well. Dry dock storage or mooring in a marina are parts of an environment that should be considered. And any repairs to boats can be just as costly as repairing a car, if not more expensive. But people don’t own a boat with repairs in mind, they own them for enjoyment!

He bought his first Sea Ray in 2001, and has owned either one or two Sea Rays at any given point from that point to present day.  Currently, he is the proud owner of only one Sea Ray, but he has been a faithful Sea Ray owner for over a decade. For four years, he along with other Sea Ray owners took vacations to the Bahamas by boat. His first Bahamas vacation with the Sea Ray club was on a 29-foot SunDancer. He upgraded his second year to a 42-foot SunDancer, but then upgraded again for the third and fourth Bahamas vacation by taking a 51-foot SunDancer.

Each of the vacations consisted of around 30 boats, so not only was Darrin Scott Sherrill able to vacation with his boat, but he was able to talk and travel with other boat owners. Darrin Scott Sherrill enjoys boating and being outdoors. His love for boat ownership has led to his owning a boat for over a decade.

Cruise Vacations are not new to Darrin Scott Sherrill

Many people enjoy a number of different types of vacations. Some people may like to do some rough camping up in the mountains, some may like to vacation in the winter and go skiing, and others may travel abroad to experience a culture different from their own. And some people, like Darrin S. Sherrill of Georgia, like to take cruises. The cruise industry has its own ups and downs, but that doesn’t stop people from enjoying the experience.

For a while, Darrin Scott Sherrill had been a regular cruise passenger. There was a period of several years where he and his family would take cruise vacations regularly. Darrin Scott Sherrill’s cruise vacations were so consistent that he and his family belonged to the Royal Caribbean Crown & Anchor Club. However, it has been about 4 years since Darrin Scott Sherrill of 1095 Mockingbird Lane in Cumming, Georgia has been on his last cruise vacation. However, that doesn’t stop the Royal Caribbean Cruise line from sending him material, tempting him to take yet another cruise vacation.

There are a number of different cruise lines and cruise destinations that interested vacationers can choose from. Some cruises go to Alaska, some to Hawaii, and some frequent the Caribbean Islands. Darrin Scott Sherrill Enjoyed Taking Bahamas Vacations

Lots of people enjoy going away to somewhere different and exotic when they go on vacation. Vacationing somewhere “different” may vary depending on where you live geographically and what your typical vacation usually consists of. But, for Darrin S. Sherrill Georgia, some of the past vacations he thoroughly enjoyed were his trips to the Bahamas.

No doubt, a trip or vacation to the Bahamas is very exciting. What made their vacation experience slightly different from other vacationers was their method of travel. Darrin S. Sherrill of Georgia took a few weeks off in the summers of 2001, 2002, and 2003 to travel to the Bahamas by boat.

Darrin Scott Sherrill of 1095 Mockingbird Lane in Cumming, Georgia took these boat-traveled vacations along with other vacationers who belonged to a small club of Sea Ray owners. The Bahamas-bound vacationers would typically travel together in a group of around 30 boats. Darrin S. Sherrill of Georgia enjoyed the two-week-long vacations, and he would extend his family’s vacations when the group returned home by cruising in his boat either around Florida or making a trip to the Chesapeake Bay before deeming the vacation over.

Darrin Scott Sherrill loved the trips and changed boats several times for the vacation. The first trip was made in a 29-foot SunDancer and the second vacation in a 41-foot SunDancer. However, Darrin S. Sherrill Georgia saved the best for last and took the last two Bahamas vacations in a 51-foot SunDancer, which qualified as a yacht more than a boat. However, no matter the size of the water vehicle, Darrin Scott Sherrill enjoyed the Bahamas vacation with other Sun Ray owners. 

Darrin Scott Sherrill Is a Multiple Club Member

Darrin Scott Sherrill is both an active and inactive club member. Some of his memberships are in name only, but he still enjoys being a part of the organization. 

One of the clubs that Darrin S. Sherrill of Georgia is currently a member of is the Hummer Club. He has been a member of the Hummer Club since June of 2000 and was active within the club until 2008. However, while Darrin Scott Sherrill stopped being active after 2008, he is still a member of the Hummer Club. But, he admits that this will be his last year because he sold his Hummer in the early part of 2012. When Darrin Scott Sherrill was an active member of the Hummer Club, he enjoyed it immensely by participating in the off road trips that the club scheduled each year. 

Darrin Scott Sherrill also belongs to a small club called Sea Ray. Since February, 2001, he and his family have owned at least one and sometimes two Sea Ray boats at any given point. Currently, Darrin S. Sherrill of Georgia is the proud owner of one Sea Ray. And as a proud Sea Ray owner, he has vacationed with other Sea Ray owners.  In the past, with other owners, he had taken summer trips by boat to the Bahamas in a group of around 30 boats each vacation.

Another club that Darrin S. Sherrill of Georgia is a member of, but not active in, is the Mercedes Car Club. While he belongs to the car club, he readily admits that he has never done anything with the local chapter. However, whether he is active or inactive in the clubs he’s a member of, Darrin Scott Sherrill enjoys being a member. 

Piloting is a Passion for Darrin Scott Sherrill

Darrin Scott Sherrill knows that he has been fortunate enough to make one of his life goals into a reality. He had always wondered what it would be like to pilot his own plane and whether or not it was something that he could do. While it was something that he had been interested in doing for a while, he finally took the steps to turn his desire into destiny when he took training courses to become a private pilot in 2007.

Darrin S. Sherrill of Georgia earned not only his Private Pilot Certification, but also finished Instrument Rating and became High Performance certified as well. Getting his High Performance Certification and Instrument Rating took additional training and testing in order to add it to his private pilot certificate. And while he did everything necessary to become a private pilot with extra certifications in 2007, Darrin Scott Sherrill decided to continue earning higher pilot certifications again in 2010.

As Darrin S. Sherrill of Georgia was already High Performance certified, he decided to go ahead and become a commercial pilot. After more training and hours of practicing and testing, Darrin Scott Sherrill of 1095 Mockingbird Lane Cumming, Georgia, earned his Commercial Pilot Certification in May of 2010. What drove him to become a commercial pilot was that as a commercial pilot, Darrin S. Sherrill of Georgia would be able to be paid for piloting. People can now pay him to fly places, unlike a private pilot who can only fly for their own enjoyment or business. Private pilots cannot legally be paid for flying passengers, but as a commercial pilot, Darrin Scott Sherrill can be paid for such a service. And Darrin S. Sherrill Georgia has around 675 hours of flight experience.

Community involvement is a nice way to get out of the house and meet people who may share some of the same interests, hobbies, or concerns as your own. Darrin S. Sherrill of Georgia knows how enjoyable community involvement can be. He has had memberships to quite a few clubs and associations. He currently belongs to the Hummer Club, Sea Ray, and the Mercedes Car Club; he is also a member of the Lake Lanier Association.

While Darrin S. Sherrill of Georgia is a member of the Lake Lanier Association, he admits that he’s not very active in the association, so none of the other association members really know him on a personal level. However, Darrin Scott Sherrill from 1095 Mockingbird Lane Cumming, Georgia, knows that the association gets involved in a number of legal issues. While Darrin S. Sherrill Georgia doesn’t personally participate as an association member, he is aware of their current issues.

As a member of the Lake Lanier Association, Darrin Scott Sherrill gets periodic newsletters. Through the association, Darrin S. Sherrill Georgia also pays to help maintain and perform major lake clean-up each fall season. One of the current legal issues that Darrin S. Sherrill of Georgia knows the association is involved in is with Alabama and Florida water over usage.

And while he is not personally involved in the association, he has been a part of the association since 2000 when he purchased a house that was within the associated community. There are many homes that are part of an association, especially if there is a lake or a park that the association pays to maintain. And while paying to maintain the lake is part of the association’s duties, Darrin Scott Sherrill has little interest in participating in the association further.

Darrin S. Sherrill of Georgia has been active in a variety of clubs and associations throughout his lifetime. Many people enjoy a membership to one club or another even if it is something like a gym or private park. And one of the smaller clubs that Darrin Scott Sherrill enjoys the most is the Sea Ray Club. Since 2001, Darrin S. Sherrill Georgia has owned at least one Sea Ray at any given time.

Currently, Darrin S. Sherrill owns one Sea Ray, and he has vacationed in the past with other Sea Ray owners. He has vacationed with other Sea Ray owners for 4 summers, taking a nice summer vacation together to the Bahamas. Darrin S. Sherrill of Georgia, along with other Sea Ray owners, took summer vacations in 2001, 2002, and 2003 each lasting about 2 weeks. However, what made the Sea Ray summer vacations different from others was that the trip was taken by boat. When Darrin Scott Sherrill participated in the Sea Ray summer vacations, the trip was taken with a group of about 30 boats.

Darrin Scott Sherrill enjoyed these summer trips immensely, and he and his family would extend their trip by sailing around Florida or cruising up the east coast as far north as the Chesapeake Bay. For his first summer participating in the Sea Ray club Bahamas vacation, Darrin S. Sherrill traveled on a 29-foot SunDancer. The following year he upgraded to a 41-foot SunDancer. Then their last two years participating in the Sun Ray Bahamas vacation was spent on a 51-foot SunDancer. However, his passion is more in the air as a commercial pilot than it is on the water. 

Hummer Club Member, Darrin S. Sherrill Georgia

There are plenty of clubs or organizations that people may enjoy being a member of. Many people hold memberships to gyms or recreation centers. There are some clubs that are more exclusive than others or require specifics be met before membership can be achieved. For the Hummer Club, it isn’t too difficult to figure that part of a Hummer Club membership involves the owning of a Hummer.

Hummers are surprisingly big vehicles and have scaled down versions available to the public since the larger versions are used by the military. They are big, intense vehicles that are perfect for outdoor activities. When you’re next to one on the road, Darrin S. Sherrill of Georgia knows that for other car owners, a Hummer can be a little intimidating. However, as a Hummer owner, Darrin Scott Sherrill also knows that they’re not the best on gasoline. That is part of what led to his decision to sell his Hummer in the early part of 2012.

Currently, Darrin S. Sherrill of Georgia is still a member of the Hummer Club. He first joined the club in June 2000 and was actively involved as a club member until 2008. One of the benefits of the club membership is the annual off road trips the club plans and schedules each year. However, as Darrin Scott Sherrill has sold his Hummer, this will be his last year of membership to the Hummer Club.

Many people take pride in their automobiles and can become quite defensive about them. While some people strive for smaller cars and try to leave a smaller carbon footprint, others enjoy the room that a larger SUV provides for their families. Darrin Scott Sherrill knows that cars are a matter of preference, but he enjoyed his Hummer while it was practical for him and his family. 

Commercial Pilot Certified Multi-Engine Land: Darrin Scott Sherrill

People have varying dreams and ambitions. People may make a list of life goals they want to achieve in order to consider their life full and complete. A life goal may be something like taking a vacation to Hawaii, traveling to Europe or Asia, or something as simple as going camping in the Rocky Mountains. Some of these goals may be dreams that go realized or unrealized throughout a person’s life. However, for Darrin Scott Sherrill, he was successful in achieving his dream of becoming a pilot.

Darrin S.Sherrill Georgia achieved his goal of becoming a pilot when he became Private Pilot Certified, Airplane Single Engine Land, in February of 2007. Not only did he become certified to fly a single engine plane, but he also continued to earn an Instrument Rating, as well as becoming High Performance certified in March of 2007. While that satisfied Darrin Scott Sherrill for several years, he still wanted to achieve more.

After all the training and tests to become certified as a private pilot, Darrin S. Sherrill of Georgia decided to take more training courses, as well as testing, in order to become certified as a commercial pilot. This dream became a reality in May of 2010. The end of the same month, Darrin S. Sherrill of Georgia could fly Multi-Engine Land as well. By the end of all the courses, Darrin Scott Sherrill could officially call himself certified as a Commercial Multi-Engine Land Instrument Rated pilot.

There is little doubt that Darrin S. Sherrill Georgia is proud of his abilities as a pilot. As a commercial pilot, he is now capable of legally being paid for flight services. And he enjoys flying with around 675 hours of flight time experience. He will continue to pilot as long as he enjoys it and is capable. 

Darrin Scott Sherrill is Multi-Engine Land Commercial Pilot Certified

Just as land automobiles differ between small electric cars to diesel engine trucks, aircrafts differ as well. There are some aircrafts meant to strictly stay on land, while others are capable of landing on water. There are single engine planes and multiple engine planes. There are planes that are simple, while others have more “bells and whistles” and are considered to be “high performance planes.” 

Darrin Scott Sherrill personally knows about several different planes because he has been through several different certifications since he first decided to become a certified pilot. His passion for flying led him to first earn his private pilot certification in 2007. That was shortly followed by his Instrument Rating and his High Performance certificate. 

However, in the more recent past, Darrin S. Sherrill of Georgia successfully transitioned from private pilot to commercial pilot in 2010. Now as a commercial pilot, Darrin Scott Sherrill is able to not only fly with other passengers, but he is able to get paid for his flight services. Where private pilots can only fly for their personal enjoyment or business, commercial pilots can be paid to fly others. Of course, this meant that Darrin Scott Sherrill of 1095 Mockingbird Lane Cumming, Georgia had to take more training courses and tests in order to fly as a commercial pilot. 

However, DarrinScott Sherrill was ready to take the training courses and tests head on. His love for flying and piloting made the work more enjoyable than taxing. And now, he is proud to introduce himself as a commercial pilot. His passion for flying even encouraged others in his family to consider earning their own pilot’s certificates. Now, Darrin S. Sherrill Georgia is proud to have around 675 hours of flight time under his wing.

Darrin Scott Sherrill Is Certified to Fly Private Planes

Many people are fascinated with the idea of flying. People may have dreams of flying whether they are in a plane or not. Being a pilot is one of the earliest ambitions a child may have. The fascination with flying may be something a child grows out of or pursues into adulthood. And for people who decide to pursue their dream of flying, there are schools and courses available to learn how. 

Darrin S. Sherrill Georgia was always interested in becoming a pilot. He always enjoyed the freedom flying allowed. He also enjoyed the breathtaking sites of floating above the landscape. Something about not being limited to the ground and feeling free drew Darrin Scott Sherrill of 1095 Mockingbird Lane Cumming, Georgia to earn his pilot’s license in 2007.

Darrin Scott Sherrill’s goal was to be able to fly himself, and perhaps a couple other people, around on a private plane. So it was with that goal in mind that DarrinS. Sherrill Georgia took the necessary classes and courses to earn his personal private pilot’s license. And after all the classes, Darrin Scott Sherrill was the proud owner of a Private Pilot Certificate for Airplane Single Engine Land which he received February 8^th, 2007.

Having his pilot’s certificate for private planes was a dream come true for Darrin Scott Sherrill of 1095 Mockingbird Lane Cumming, Georgia. His certificate means that Darrin S. Sherrill of Georgia will not be limited to taking vacations by car. He can just as easily get into his own plane and chart his own path to reach his destination by air. And Darrin Scott Sherrill’s enjoyment of flying has been passed onto others when he recommends they get their own pilot’s certifications as well.
