Why Darrin S Sherrill is a Pilot

Though he has had much success in business and his personal life, Darrin S Sherrill decided to pursue a dream he’s always had of becoming a pilot. As a licensed pilot, Darrin S Sherrill enjoys the grand adventure of aviation, especially over his home state of Georgia. “It’s a nice way to relax away from work,” says Darrin S Sherrill. “It’s also a way to enjoy time with my family. My son Michael enjoys flying as well and it’s a great bonding opportunity for the both of us.”

According to Darrin S Sherrill, there are many reasons why people decide to become pilots. Some want to expand their business opportunities while others are considering a career in the aviation industry. For Darrin S Sherrill, however, it’s an activity that he can share with his family while pursuing a passion that could open other doors in the future. Though he was the majority owner of Multi-User Solutions, Ltd., Darrin S Sherrill also understands that there are opportunities in aviation should he choose to pursue them. Aside from his licenses and certification, Darrin S Sherrill is also recognized as a Commercial Multi-Engine Land Instrument Rated pilot, which means that he can now earn money as a pilot.

With over 675 hours of flight time, Darrin S Sherrill is working to achieve as many certifications as he can to expand his opportunities. “It was never solely about flying for me,” says Darrin S Sherrill. “I just love to travel and sight-see, and flying is another medium in which I can accomplish that.”

Indeed, Darrin S Sherrill has been a member of the Hummer Club and the Sea Ray Club, which both provide other avenues of travelling. Through the Hummer Club, Darrin S Sherrill and his family have road tripped over various terrains. They’ve also sailed waters from the Florida coast to Chesapeake Bay. “Flying is a different experience from both of those,” says Darrin S Sherrill. “It’s exhilarating, yet in many ways it’s much safer, especially when you consider all of the federal standards in place.” Darrin S Sherrill hopes to continue becoming a better pilot.
